TerminatorREX #1
Hi, I've formatted the template for easier reading.
1. PB2 Username:
TerminatorREX
2. Do you have any alternate accounts (accounts that you own or use, apart from the account you are applying with)? If yes, please state their usernames with their respective profile links:
No
3. How long have you played PB2?:
5 years, since late 2011
4. Kills Count:
1223
5. Deaths Count:
1747
6. Are you currently in a clan?:
No.
7a. What clans have you been in before?:
FireStreak
7b. [Optional] Do you have an approximate date about when you joined, and when you left these clans?:
I created the clan in August/September 2012. I can't remember when I disbanded it.
8. Why did you join those clans?:
I wanted to join GSA a very long time ago, but I felt It wasn't really right for me. Some of the members were extremely rude, so I wanted to join AGSA afterwards, which was supposedly anti GSA who were at war with the former or something. However, they gave me the same bad treatment.
So I created my own clan named FireStreak, and I created a huge FireStreak base for fun which includes a jail, meeting room, lots of cool stuff! I think I deleted the map because the adv level editor broke it, and I was pretty gutted. However, I got a lot of members (about 10) and a website, and we started joining GSA clan recruitment games, getting weapons and
killing everyone (most of them were guests, however). Sweet revenge lasts for about 5 minutes per game before the game master wakes up and kicks us out.
9. Do you personally know anyone in GeNo? If yes, please state them:
No, but I'll be happy to get to know everyone
10. [Critical] Why do you wish to join GeNo?:
For a very long time I've been playing this game. I've made friends with other players and ultimately I've been looking for a clan so I would play with people, but never actually found a clan that I liked. I need people to play with, IMO, playing with friends is way better than playing alone. I look back at the past, I realise how much time I wasted. And now, in the end, as the game is almost dead, it's already too late. The game has been sucked dry and almost everyone has moved on. I'm not even sure if it's worth it to play anymore by yourself. I quit the game in 2014 for this very reason, it was becoming boring to play it on my own.
Recently I've remembered the game and come back, and yeah it looks pretty bad at its current state. So this is roughly why I'm looking for a clan once more. I've looked up a lot of clans, but most of them seem inactive except a few. I've also looked at Biohazard, but this clan seems more active, newer and looks like a great opportunity for a fresh start in PB2 (still waiting for PB2.5). So all I ask is a place where people don't treat me like shit, and to get to know cool people who I can play this game (and maybe other games) with.
11. [Critical] What can you help to contribute to GeNo?:
I am always willing to contribute in any way I can. I am great at level design, especially saw maps, which are my favourite type of maps. If anyone needs help with anything related to this field (mapping/modding in general, this includes Source, Unreal and Half-Life, game engines I've past experience with) I'd be glad to explain things and give tips.
12. [Critical] What do you believe defines a good player? What defines a bad player?:
The first, most important thing I believe is that Kdr doesn't define a player. And I'm not just saying this because I have a bad Kdr. Anyone could just be bad at the game (still learning), or enjoy playing maps where you die a lot (saws). I actually find it funny that people care a lot about Kdr, but back to the question:
I like teamplay and cooperation, so in my eyes, a good player is a player that supports their team, communicates and plays the objective properly. It doesn't matter if they fail a lot, as long as they do what they intend to do to help the team
On the other hand, a bad player is someone that runs in, dies and spams '6' in chat before their body gets sliced in two so they can't get revived. Aka guests.
I would say that being well-mannered and friendly could also define a good player, and that being rude and toxic would define a bad player, but in my opinion, such qualities don't define player, they define you as a person. A good player could be an arrogant individual with a massive over-inflated ego due to high PP etc, but a bad player could also be a rational human being that you can teach what not to do in this game. For example, some people who are playing as guests or have just created an account actually listen when I tell them to stay at the back and support your team if you're not a good front-line player. And by some people, I mean 10% of them.
13. Current country/state of residence:
UK
14. How active will you be on GeNo forums and Discord Chat?:
Personally I don't know about the forums. There isn't a place where you can just discuss topics, it's more like a recruitment agency. Unless someday I'll be testing new members I probably won't be here that often. But, I assume discussion is where discord chat comes in. I can be on at least once a day for at least an hour, taking part in interesting conversations. Most of the time I'll be playing PB2 after work. This game is great.
15. What server do you mostly play in?:
Even though it's not the closest, I play in Cali. It has at least 200 players recently active at any time
16. Have you been tested? If yes, please state who tested you, and please provide screenshot proof of the combat test:
I've not been tested yet
17. [Very Critical] By applying to GeNo, you will show the utmost respect to your fellow clan members and leaders, as well as to players outside of this clan. This includes being honest about your application and your answers during each phase, and with others concerning your actions. Failure to do so will result in severe consequences, such as dismissal from the clan. If in any case, you wish to leave GeNo, you must sign out a resignation form to confirm your leaving. If you do not fill it in, we have every right to say we kicked you out of the clan. There are codes of conduct that must be followed if you are going to represent our clan. Do you believe you can handle this responsibility?:
Yes. If I ever come to represent this clan, I will make sure not to give it a bad name
18. Are you applying for Member or Trial Member?:
Trial Member
19. Extra comments/questions if you have any...?:
I am pretty impressed by how things are run. I'm still looking around and hopefully I'll be back tomorrow to answer any questions you may have

This application for sure need some answers. The first one is how can you prove that you're not joining us just because you want to get in any clan? Answers shows how much you do mean that by the way you just answered on some questions. The second one is how could you be only in one clan for that much time? You also don't have any alt accounts. How would you prove you're just not lying to us? Btw you just can't see but our forums are way much bigger when you deserved member role and the time you just suggested? The way you just explained this show you'll be more often in pb2 cuz as you said "this game is great" so you need the "GeNo" tag to just put on the ritz with this. You should prove that you don't cuz you do contribute less for us than any other "GeNo" member.

Re: TerminatorREX #1
Good morning all
I don't like playing with alt accounts because I don't see the point. If I wanted to conceal my identity, I'd just log in as a guest account, but I never do want to conceal my identity because there is no need. I'm sure you understand I can't prove such a thing. All I offer is my word.
I hope this answers all of your questions. Also, thanks for letting me know about the forums, I'll be on much more often if that is the case Even if I say I will be playing the game, it doesn't mean I won't be an active participant in the community.
Thanks for your question. After a while of researching clans that are still active, I've decided to apply for this one. I've also looked at YRN, but their requirements are a kdr of 1.25, low ping and a lot of kills. It's a skill-based clan, which won't be right for me. On this other hand, this clan has a lower requirement and is more open for everyone. GSA totally put me off clans for a long time, and warped my view of every other clan. After I failed to make my own anything more than a small group of friends, I wanted to give up completely. That wasn't the right thing to do. The reason why I think I need a clan is to socialise with people and not to be alone (like I am in real life).VVannabe wrote:This application for sure need some answers. Hi, I never was officially in GSA, so I thought not to include it. As I said, I wanted to join, but some of the members were extremely rude so I decided to drop it before it went any further.Inactive wrote:You didn't mention that you were in GSA before

Re: TerminatorREX #1
to clear some misconceptions (although some have been brought up, i would just like to reiterate and explain further):
- deaths in saws dont count. your kdr reflects what you have obtained only in approved matches.
- the forum is the place where most discussions take place. the chat is mostly just a place to hang out. and it goes without saying that you are recognized in the clan through demonstrating activity in both forums (contributing to discussions) and chat.
im quite confused over some contradiction you may have (unintentionally) made though: you said the game is boring to play on your own, but later on say that the game is great. and the way you said it seems to imply youre going to play on your own. although you did explain you wish to join a clan for the community, the previous statements were giving me the impression that youre joining the clan for the tag, i hope thats not the case.
regardless, it was pleasing to read the app. all the best.

About kdr, don't you mean player points? As far as I know, kdr is calculated as a ratio using kills and deaths.
And I should have given some more detail. What I meant was multiplayer ranked matches are boring to play on my own. I mean TDM, it's feels more of a deathmatch game where some people aren't allowed to kill others rather than team-based play.
And yes, the game still is pretty good, if you ignore the terrible servers.

I've heard your name before, I can't recall from where though.
Nonetheless, you stated this in your application:
So by your logic, you wouldn't want to join a clan if PB2 wasn't inactive.

I don't like the way you answer on some questions asked in application. I do feel like it's more like "must have tag" than bringing serious activity and help to clan. From now I'll be looking on your answers and activity in chat. This should help me to decide. For now I don't have questions.

Re: TerminatorREX #1
no, i dont mean PP. PP only takes into account what you get in approved (ranked) matches, kdr takes into account the kills deaths ratio you have obtained in both approved (ranked and unranked) matches. saws are maps that will not be approved, they stay as custom maps, so your kdr wont be taken into account by playing them.

On the surface this application looks fine. Not great, not bad, fine. For question 14 you state that forums isn't a place for discussion, that it's simply used for recruitment purposes. That's false, forums is our main source for clan discussion. We use this space to bounce ideas off each other and eventually implement new ideas.
My question for you is you seem to be mainly joining for PB2 purposes, most of our members have broken off PB2 because the game is dying and due to a toxic community, if you were to be accepted, what else would you see doing as a member of GeNo? Are clan discussions your type of thing? Or are you a more laid back just chilling type of person?

Decent application. I won't say I have no questions because I still have one:
Anything else you can contribute to the clan? I mean maps are pretty cool but anything else? (HTML, BB, CSS, Video editing?)
Otherwise I have no more questions.

Hi people.
That sounds a bit funny actually. Looking back at some points in my application I can see a few bits where I can improve the formatting. But no, the whole previous paragraph is what's supporting my answer. If there's anything else you want to know, or if there is anything else you want to ask, please do so. I'm happy to answer your questions. Also I'd like to add, I wasn't a very social person beforehand. Nowadays it feels dull to just browse reddit, or play games like counter strike with random people without actually taking part as I could in a community.
Yes, I've already been told about the forum.
It's sad that the game has died, because it was one of my favourites back in the day. In general I use Steam for my entertainment needs, and have a library of over 100 games. And yes, discussions are my thing. More info about your other questions below:
By reading through the website, I don't expect that this would be the case. From the rules on utmost respect, discipline, cooperation with others to members which sounds like an appropriate environment for me. I'll also be looking at the discord chat to get a sense of what to expect. I've sent a PM earlier today.
About the clans. I never was actually in any of those clans (GSA/AGSA) so I didn't write them. I don't remember much, but this is what I have from my memory: I've played a lot of DM with people who have the GSA tag, they are very immature and toxic people in general. One of them added me to his friends and informed me that most of the people who wear the GSA tag are fake members or players who only want it because it makes them look cool. After a talk he invited me to join the clan for real. They let me check things out as a non member and participate in some of their 'meetings' which were lobbies named 'GSA rec' which involved a lot of trash talking, guests begging to join, and whenever I had a question I was told to gtfo, get good, etc. That is as far as they let me. I was a naive new player back then and didn't really know much, so this one bad experience put me off joining any more clans.
If you have any more inquiries feel free to share

It didn't cross my mind at all to say anything about this, but I in fact do have some experience in video editing, and a lot of experience in web/graphic design including some server-side programming (i.e PHP). BB doesn't count because it's just forum markup. A big shame is that I have no portfolio to showcase my work (I never really finish anything I start).Rezonate wrote:Decent application.

I don't get this one.
Your answers are so good, but why'd you apply for a clan without knowing the members in it? I still haven't seen you in discord, wich means you are not really trying to meet us.
Why your PB2 profile says that you are from Ukraine?
For that much years playing PB2 you joined only one clan? Why do you feel like you should join GeNociDe now? What's the difference between us and some other active clans? As it seems like you stayed clanless much time, so what will change if we accept you?

It's a pretty nice looking application, and the answers you've given us are detailed.
Although we try to maintain a level of respect, there's always the possibility you may not fit in well with our current members. How might you react in this situation?
Also, what makes you different from the other applicants? Why should we accept you? We have amazing video editors, coding members, map makers, and plenty who are capable of intelligent discussion. So, other than contributing to activity, what makes you unique?

The application will be denied after 4 days, if the applicant doesn't answer the Members' questions.

As CaptainSolo said, it is somewhat strange for you to apply for a clan after being clanless for so long. From what I can gather, you seem to have just returned from a long period of inactivity. Can you assure us that you will remain active if you were to join GeNo?
It seems like you want to join GeNo so that you can play and socialize with us. However, I do not believe I have seen you on our chat yet. Can you provide me with your discord tag?
